Product Details

The D-Link DES-108 is an 8-port 10/100 Mbps Fast Ethernet unmanaged switch built for home offices, SOHO setups, and small businesses. Eight auto-sensing ports detect and negotiate connection speed automatically — connecting computers, printers, IP cameras, NAS drives, and routers without crossover cables or manual input. Dual-colour LED indicators show link status and speed at a glance. The solid metal housing dissipates heat passively for silent, long-lasting operation. It sits on any desktop or mounts flush on a wall using the included kit — quiet, compact, and completely hands-off once plugged in.

D-Link DES-108 Unmanaged Desktop Switch: Why It Stands Out

D-Link DES-108 Unmanaged Desktop Switch: Plug In and Go

No web interface. No login. No administrator needed. Plug the DES-108 into your router, connect your devices, and your network is live in seconds. Auto-sensing ports negotiate speeds automatically. Auto MDI/MDIX eliminates crossover cable guesswork entirely. Any standard Cat5 cable works on any port — making this the fastest, most straightforward network expansion available for any user at any technical level.

D-Link DES-108 Unmanaged Desktop Switch Keeps Traffic Smooth

IEEE 802.1p QoS automatically prioritises time-sensitive data — VoIP calls, video streams, and web browsing take precedence over background transfers. IEEE 802.3x flow control prevents dropped packets when ports reach capacity. The result is a noticeably smoother experience for every connected device, even when multiple users share one internet connection simultaneously.
